Wilmore

The Landmarked Wilmore School and surrounding site has been reimagined as an irreplaceable 175-unit mixed use development in the heart of the Historic Wilmore neighborhood.

Wilmore

Avery Hall, in partnership with SF Holdings, recently broke ground on the 175-unit mixed-use development on a transformational, 3.28-acre landmarked site in Charlotte’s historic Wilmore neighborhood and a short walk from the vibrant SouthEnd and Lynx Blue Line light rail. Following a two-year collaborative entitlement effort with the Historic District Commission, Landmarks and Zoning, the project design respects the historic architecture of the 100-year-old school while introducing complimentary new construction of an equally high standard. The project consists of three distinct components: the adaptive reuse of the landmarked Wilmore School building, a new-construction multi-unit building, and new construction townhomes integrated throughout the surrounding site. The development will include underground structured parking, 3,500 square feet of retail, best in class residential amenities and a diverse mix of studio, one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom residences. Five percent of the apartment units are designated as affordable housing at rents serving households earning up to 80% Area Median Income rents. The project will be held long term and is expected to be completed in 2028.
